The answer to climate change lies in our food choices because every single action can make a difference. This is the idea that unites our network and points us towards the future: spreading awareness on the issue, studying new sustainable solutions and sharing good practices.
What we farm, eat and waste carries significant effects on our health, as well as on environmental, social and economic justice. We believe that everyone has the right to food and climate security; that malnutrition can be overcome, and that communities should be able to live in harmony with nature. We can do this – join us now to find out how!

A wide network of young people, civil society organisations, local authorities, content creators and youth associations who have chosen to join forces to fight climate change - starting with a new idea of food production and consumption. Discover the Food Wave community!
DISCOVERFood Wave is co-funded by the EU and promoted by the Municipality of Milan together with 29 partners across 17 countries. The Food Wave consortium involves 16 cities and municipal agencies plus 13 civil society organizations closely linked with the cities. C40, the international network of cities engaged in the fight against climate change, is also affiliated to the project.
A fair and sustainable food system means respecting human rights and the planet’s boundaries. By walking this path together, we will manage to guarantee livelihoods for everyone, and countries will be able to achieve both the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and those of the Paris Agreement. Let’s give it a try!
