The contest is open to professional chefs who are foreign nationals (living in Italy or abroad) between 18 and 35. To take part, upload the photo of a couscous-based recipe made in a sustainable way (sweet or savoury), along with your curriculum and a description.
Each participant must accompany their recipe with the following caption: “Recipe for Food Wave Competition” | Deadline for submissions: 29 August 2021
Two panels will be evaluating the contestants:
– a popular panel of the web population, who can vote on Facebook
– a technical panel, chaired by the journalist Eleonora Baldwin cooking expert, Eleonora Cozzella, and including the chef Mareme Cisse, the current Cous Cous Fest champion
The winning chef voted by the popular panel will be the chef who obtained most likes/hearts and will automatically go through to the live contest at the Cous Cous Fest, from 17 to 26 September 2021, representing their birth country.
The technical panel, on the other hand, will review the entries and select up to 6 chefs (one for each country) who will then compete live, along with the chef with the most web votes, in September at the Cous Cous Fest, representing their country of origin. At the end of the contests, the Cous Cous Fest World Champion for 2021 will be announced.
The chefs going through to the final will be announced during a live TV show in early September (date to be defined). The show will be broadcast on the Cous Cous Fest social media channels on Facebook, Youtube and the website.
