During the round table – discussion will be presented the goals, activities and expected positive results of the project FOOD WAVE. Current topics on the link between climate change and the food chain will be discussed. A presentation on the topic will be given by Ivan Paspaldjiev, a senior consultant in Denkstadt. Assoc. Prof. Milena Georgieva from the Institute of Molecular Biology – BAS will tell us how changes in diet affect our health. The connection between the UN Sustainable Development Goals and sustainable food consumption will be presented by Darinka Georgieva from the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact. Dr. Galya Kostadinova from the Ministry of Agriculture will introduce us to the main highlights of the National Program for Prevention and Reduction of Food Loss (2021 – 2026). The place of food is not garbage. Gergana Dimitrova, a representative of the Kaufland retail chain, will share her practical experience with us on the successful ways to reduce food waste. Is life and business with zero waste possible in the current reality? The answer to this question will give us Blazhka from Zero waste.
