Youth Engagement for a Sustainable Food System, the Experience of Food Wave project
Food Wave will be at the COP28 to show that a dialogue between young citizens and institutions on the climate issue is crucial for an effective green transition.
The talk will be focused on the role of young people in promoting sustainable food production and consumption patterns, underlining in particular the importance of the dialogue between young people and local authorities.
During the talk, opened by Anna Scavuzzo, Deputy Mayor of Milan, delegate to Food Policy and Agriculture, experiences from the project will be presented by:
- Marco Mazziotti, Director, EU Direct Funds Unit, Municipality of Milan
- Emanuela Vita, Food Wave project manager, Municipality of Milan
- Valeria Fantini, project manager, ALDA
- Peter Wolf, project manager, Pest County
- Eline Van der Ham, project manager for food strategy, City of Almere
- Nele Brewaeys, municipal global policy expert, City of Bruges.
The event will be hosted in the Italian Pavilion, room OS07G1 Tier 2, located in the Building OS07.
