The Think Tank is an intensive 5-day program (between Feb-April) for young food professionals who want to expand their knowledge and network, and who may help contribute to real food supply solutions. In the 2021 edition of the Think Tank, participants will work on the political ‘food paragraph’, to be presented as input for the Dutch government as advice for food policies after the elections in March 2021.

Almere is the second largest city in the Amsterdam Area. Located in the province of Flevoland,  Almere was built on land that was reclaimed from the sea in a feat of Dutch engineering. Now, more than 40 years later the area has been developed into well-planned residential areas with parks, lakes, modern infrastructure and excellent transport connections. Almere has 211,704 inhabitants (January, 2020). The municipality of Almere comprises the city districts Almere Stad, Almere Haven, Almere Buiten, Almere Hout and Almere Poort.

About Flevo Campus

Flevo Campus is a scientific hotspot for innovations in terms of food and urbanisation issues for the future located in Almere (Netherlands). Almere’s students, researchers and businesses are brought together under the roof of Flevo Campus, to explore and test how food provisioning can change and innovate in growing cities. Flevo Campus is a collaborative effort between Aeres Hogeschool Almere, Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS Institute), Gemeente Almere and Provincie Flevoland.
